Using this blogger tool as a Teacher, will provide all stakeholders in my institution the ability to learn, share, and communicate at a more professional level that is easy as a click of a button. As a Classroom Teacher, we can easily feel secluded from other strategies, research, new ideas/information, and resources that are relevant to our local students in the CNMI. By creating a blog spot, we can all link and share ideas that will be beneficial in many aspects.
The benefits of blogging are many, one being quick access and opportunities to share great ideas, new information, and link everyone to news that are vital in any career for growth. Being a reflection practitioner through the use of blogging can lead you to open doors, improve your writing and research skills, capture the moment, open your artistic side of thinking and communicating, and provide more opportunities for advancing in many aspects in your life. Blogging includes features that basic to advance which strengthens the delivery of what you are trying to post or convey to your readers. Some great features include mobile access, voice, group links, and posting videos (just to name a few).
The cons about blogging are many depending on the views and access capabilities on both sides of the coin. Many of our students don't have access to internet or computers at home. Although most of students in the past received dell laptops, I noticed that most of them in high school sadly don't have one that is working or it was stolen during their first years. For me, the basic downfall of blogging is the fear of hackers or people that you don’t want to have access to your blog. Luckily, features are available that include setting your blog spot for private or public domains that allow restrictions to view your profile information to set up limited or no access as preferred.
